Δεν περίμενα το φθηνότερο φαγητό, αλλά να είμαι στο Grand Prix και να μάθω…

I wasn’t expecting the cheapest of eats but to be at the Grand Prix and find out that even the no-name food trucks were charging upwards of $20 for a piece of pita bread, a handful of lettuce, a slice of tomato, a dash of tzatiki and chicken that had looked like it was cooked hours ago, I wasn’t holding out much hope.

Lines at Hunky Dory, Gradi and St Ali on the other side of the coin were just too long to justify a marked up small version of their best eats.. Until I saw the colourful sign that was bistromorgan! Hardly a person in sight and a rueben toastie sent from the Gods! 🙌

Extra loaded, extra cheesy and a sneaky dash of sriracha from the banh mi place next door (that had sold out of banh mi by 4pm.. Like seriously get your shit together people?!?)

Safe to say it is not just a doughnut place – this is my first ever taste of Bistro Morgan Bakehouse goods and it did not disappoint.. and at $16 at the Grand Prix.. a definite double win in my books!

MR. REUBEN 🥪 with pastrami, sauerkraut, special mayo and cheese blend in a super toasted, extra cheesy housemade sourdough bread.
